Abstrakt: Článek se zabývá jedinečností Historického atlasu měst České republiky, a to z pohledu jeho využití ve výuce zeměpisu či dějepisu na českých školách. Po úvodním teoretickém zarámování problematiky jsou v článku uvedeny konkrétní náměty na využití tohoto díla přímo ve výuce. První díl článku je zaměřen na práci s textem.
