Abstrakt: Článek shrnuje základní rozdíly v jednotlivých fázích průmyslové revoluce s důrazem na rozdíly v posledních dvou etapách, které jsou klíčové z hlediska dopadu na trh práce. V rámci EU jsou země, ale především vybrané regiony, které jsou vystaveny vysokému riziku ztráty své konkurenceschopnosti. Vzhledem k dosaženému stupni integrace jde o další výzvu, s níž se EU a její členské státy budou muset vyrovnat.

Abstract (EN): The fourth industrial revolution and the European Union labor market. The article summarizes the basic differences in the particular stages of the industrial revolution, with an emphasis on the last two stages, which are crucial in terms of their impact on the labor market. Within the European Union, there are countries, and mainly specific regions, which are at high risk of losing their competitiveness. Given the degree of achieved integration, this is another challenge that the EU and its Member States will have to cope with.
