Abstrakt: Článek pojednává o Estonsku, resp. o nejpalčivějších problémech země z demografického hlediska. Na začátku jsou uvedeny základní informace o zemi: historický kontext, pozice moderního Estonska v rámci EU a aktuální výzvy, jimž země čelí. Posléze jsou představeny základní charakteristiky estonského obyvatelstva a program Estonia 2035. Článek vyzdvihuje hlavní výzvy pro estonský stát a v závěru je shrnuta pozice strategického programu vůči demografickým výzvám.

Abstract (EN): Estonia 2035: Estonia's strategy from a demographic perspective. This article discusses current issues of Estonia from a demographic perspective. In the beginning, the article presents basic information about the state: its historical context, the position of the modern Estonian state in the European Union, and the current challenges Estonia deals with. In the subsequent passages, article presents the main characteristics of the Estonian population and the development programme Estonia 2035. The article also outlines the main demographic problems and summarizes the key points of the programme.
