Abstrakt: Článek se zamýšlí nad japonskou společností, kulturou a mentalitou z hlediska jejich specifičnosti a odlišnosti oproti Západu. Ukazuje, čím je Japonsko ve světě proslulé a odpovídá na otázku, jaké geografické a historické aspekty a vlivy se podílely na utváření těchto specifik.

Abstract (EN): Specifics of Japanese society and culture. The article deals with the Japanese society, culture and mentality in terms of their specificity and difference compared to the West. It shows what Japan is famous for in the world and it answers the question of what geographical and historical aspects and influences have contributed to the formation of these specifics.
