Abstrakt: Devadesátá léta minulého století přinesla české společnosti celou řadu zásadních společenských a hospodářských změn.

Abstract (EN): Retail in Transformation: Changes in the Spatial Structures of Retail and Czech Consumer Preferences. Czech retail trade has undergone a considerable transformation during the last fifteen years. The ownership structure of trade companies, retail outlets’ net sales and the entire assortment of goods and services have been affected by this transformation. As a consequence of these changes, the consumer behaviour of Czech shoppers has also changed dramatically. In this context, the growing importance of retailing geography, a field that has been somewhat neglected within Czech human geography during recent decades, becomes apparent.
