Abstrakt: Víte, čím se zabývají geografové v praxi? Abychom rozšířili představu našich čtenářů o činnosti absolventů univerzitního studia geografie, pokračujeme v sérii článků, kterou jsme otevřeli v 5. čísle 18. ročníku.
Abstract (EN): A geographer at work in nature conservation in Šumava. Geography certainly has its place in the conservation of nature; unfortunately, this role is rarely carried out by actual geographers. With an example of nature conservation, namely relating to a forest within Šumava National Park, the author illustrates certain possibilities for the utilisation of geographical instruments. He likewise explains basic principles of forest behaviour in this area.
